there are several static models that folks use to convert to RC. I imagine you are basically only limited to how big/small of a WTC you want to make or buy . I myself am close to purchasing a smaller scale (under 36 inches) sub to do my conversion. I am going to start with a dynamic diving sub first, for cost and simplicity.
a very common/popular model is by a company called Trumpeter. They have a Russian Kilo class sub that folks use alot and even put ballast tanks in. email me if you have any questions: [email protected]

Small subs are fairly cheap for the hull price, getting the electronics to fit inside the tiny hull space sometimes might be a problem.
