Default Making a Ststic Diving toy Sub

Hi friends. We are planning to make a Static type Submarine toy at our place. I am wondering if it's possible to make all the things yourself.

For example which motor do you select? What material to make that body of which will hoist the motor and other R/C Devices? How to provide insulation from water, while taking a shaft out of the Sub body? And what about the ballast tank.

We have got some elementry Ideas, but arenot sure. It would be very nice if we are provided some information here

Thanks

Well it will be of 3-4 feet. It will have a ballast Tank. We are thinking of using either a gas cylinder for that, or a piston kind of thing
