Default Walmart sub batteries

Many have posted to use 1.2 volt rechargable Nimh. A plain old duracell AA is 1.5 volt. Why would I want to to lower the voltage?

Because the 2500mah, 1.2volt has enough battery life to be able to consistently go foward, turn and dive at the same time by pushing more than one button (Seawolf and Connecticut). The higher voltage MAY improve your range however....Voltage does increase range but whether that small amount is significant is unknown.
