hey guys,
subhunter13 here with a few things for you to crunch on.
1. why cant we have a combination of subs, ships, airplanes, forts, tanks, and jeeps
in a combat club?
2.Can one make a long range radio by routing them through a walkie-talkie transmiter?
3. Are there any clubs in MO that support RC subs and ships.
4.does anyone have any way to make torpidoes.
thanks

Hey,
1. Personnally, I'd LOVE to see a large sacle naval battle (just imagine it it!!) But I think the reason why there aren't any full-war type combat clubs is because of the large combat size that is involved... just imagine all those bullets flying around! Wouldn't like to be in the middle of it!
However, ther ARE combat clubs of different genres that are available. Warship combat, RC-airplane combat, and tank combats, just to name a few.
2. It's possible, not sure if it would abide to or violate any FCC rules though...
3. Try the SubCommitte, go on their website and look for a local chapter near you.
4. Yes, try the Navy.

The biggest drawback from combined air/sea/land rc combat is the question of scale. The large scale that it requires to make a properly flying and armed combat aircraft model would force the ship guys to have HUGE (20 feet long or more) Ships. Most warship combat is at 1/144 scale which yeilds teeny tiny planes not capable of rc use.

Okey so ya kinda have to warp the scale
a bit and you need cameras since you don't want to stand in the middle of that thing
with a radio. And you need a radio range of about one mile to stay out of that thing.
As for ship size, use marbles as bullet to punch through the armor and sink the ship.
drop exploding bombs on deck, depth charge subs ( us ) and try NOT to get hit.
( though i wouldn't want to run into the guy whos battleship I just sunk ,ouch)
