How do you see them. Dont they go under water.

In a pool its not hard to see them. In a pond you could just go periscope depth and use that to track it, or if its clear enough you can go a little deeper. You could also trail a little float so that you can't get lost. But losing sight is always a danger if all you want to do is go deeper. Then you can lose signal or get stuck anyway.

If you can't see your submarine at all, after it dives, that body of water will be too poluted for you, for your dog and definitely your submarine !

I also heard that BP likes the Florida water so much that they started to play their remote submarines there

Definitely, besides roedj's own favourite ' disappearing trick ' which his submarine run away on its own like my teenager daughters , you can modify its diving planes to be ailerons to do what planes can do. The physics of water is similar to air although water has much higher viscosity and resistance.
