Hey Phil,

Sorry I cant be there this time due to work schedule.

It bites too as I made some changes to my captured M-16halftrack and wanted to do some more field testing.

I think I fixed the ground clearance problem by removing the battery housing from the halftracks underside and installed a 2250mah lipo
with a monitor alarm.

I also changed the gun as well, I installed a Flak38 20mm cannon, works well on tracks and light armor as well as makes
a really good nusiance weapon

Bummer you can't make it, but I like the progress on that Halftrack! Hopefully you can bring that next year to our first battle and I will have my US M3 ready to go[sm=punching.gif]

i would love to have access to that kind of thing. im curious about something, with rc tank wars is there any rules and regulations for it? or do you just drive around and try to take out whoever? sorry for the rookie question, this is only my second week in the tank hobby, thanks

RACAN rules with some modifications! DBC EL MOD & Tamiya battle units. Pick sides and then battle, but there are other senerios! I like the one where you have one guy on each team be the Commander, and if you die you can come back to like if you are within 3 feet of the Commander! But mostly we are just haveing a blast Asis vs Allies!

Hi Diabolic,
Thanks for joining us at NEAD. I'm sure you will get into the swing of things fast when you come to your first battlday in northern NJ. We want to do one in the snow next, so we just need Mother Nature to cooperate a little. We use mainly RCAN (Radio Controled Armored Network) rules to govern our battles. A Tamiya compatable 1/16 IR tank with a strobe or LED in the barrel for the flash is a must. We do Allied versus Axis teams but most sides are picked from a hat and a flag system is used to tell friend from foe. We have had events where it is every man for himself (it is a absolute riot to see). And we have had four teams of five tankers trying to knock each other out too. Normally when you are knocked out you are done for that battle. We do have tank recovery battles sometimes where a RC truck and trailer "recovers " your KO'ed panzer and takes you back to your base for repairs. Then you can rejoin the battle. We at NEAD always like to try new senarios and we experiment often.

Well great weather decent turn out for being so close to Christmas, 8 guys in total! A few T-shirts where awarded for the club members who have made the most battle this year! These shirts will be availible at RCTankWars.com in the coming months, you e-mail me a picture of your tank, and we will put it on a shirt for you!

The video shows some of my EL MOD Panther G's first IR Battle, it did alright, I have a few adjustments to make, like the cannon sound needs to be amplified and a few other adjustments, but it got it share of licks in... [sm=punching.gif]

Tiny set up the battle field and it was perfect it seemed to promote a long shot battles and that made it very competitive and more fun for all.
