Default Tamiya Sherman & Promax 400 Motors + 10 tooth Pinion Gear

2 cent tip:Bought new motors for the Sherman this past week. I have been working on it off & on for over a year and it was now under powered.

Phil's RC Tank Wars sent the motors and pinion gears off and I had them in a couple of days of placing my order.

The motors work great in my Sherman, modest in cost, out perform the stock 380's and offer better power & torque in my opinion than the Speed 400 setup, that I run in other Tamiya tanks.

Sherman 105mm upgrades to date:

Promax-400 Motors and 10 tooth Pinion Gears from rc tank wars (Note: Phil's pinion gears are the press on steel type. I had spare Schumo set screw pinion gears that I used, instead)
•VerlindenUS tank commander figure off eBay
• Schumo scale 105mm metal barrel &periscope guards from ETO
• Tamiya gun elevation and turret rotation units use the solid blue gear for improved performance from Tamiya USA
• Impact Battle Unit with the emitter installed in the barrel from mitosal
• Impact Sherman T66 metal tracks and Drive Sprockets from mitosal
• Impact road wheel bearingsfrom mitosal
• Impact Metal Idler Set and Return Rollersfrom mitosal
• Daryl Turnergearbox mount brace;rear idler metal hull support platesandmetal elevation arm from ETO

Nice work. Did you notice an increase in speed overall?

Thanks guys and with the current gearing same as a stock gearbox, there is no noticeable increase in speed and maybe a tad slower. What the new motors do is let the model run (and with hits) on terrain the stock Tamiya 380's could not handle.
