Whats up with the 'Massive Pics" lately. Seems every pic someone posts needs 2 pages worth of screen.

Agree, it's a pain. Have you tried the search function lately? Might as well go to the mall and wait for it to load lol.

I don't know, I have had it happen at random to mine. I have gone in and deleted the oversized one and reposted it and it comes out OK the second time; I have no idea why.

Back to the pictures, quite a difference in climate between the 1st and 2nd pictures.

Hello Chris,
Photo 1) The Sherman in the snow photo has been published with this caption: "Tanks and Infantrymen of the 82nd Airborne Division, Company G, 740th Tank Battalion, 504th Regiment, push through the snow towards their objective in Belgium. (Image and description courtesy of the Truman Presidential Museum and Library)"

Photo 2) The photo of the M4 in the Pacific is a famous shot from Life Magazine that gets used a lot in books about WWII.

Photo 3) A nice photo of Karl with Panzer IV ammo transfer tank. The photo has been screened for print, so it may be from an original wartime German manual.

Photo 4) The Henschel King Tiger photo shows a tank that was taken home by the British! www.youtube.com/watch

Tiger II #104 was knocked out by a British Firefly then brought back to England it spent many years at Shivrinham before being returned to Bovington it is not in running condition 7-8 years ago it was going to be restored to running condition until it was found that the engine and gearbox had been scrapped some months earlier, the film footage shows the Tiger being towed by a Chieftain ARV

Who the heck scraps King Tiger parts???[:@]
Its good to see that they still have the tank..
I dont care what politics may be involved that should not be the point, but they should all try their best to restore and preserve all ww1, ww2.
equipment. History , we need it to be real.
and in our case smaller and fun.... nice pics....

Unfortunately Captain the person tasked with the job of scraping was told to clear a ware house full of parts this is where the Tiger parts had been stored for years probably no one knew what was in there and when the Colonel said empty the junk no one bothered to determine what they were about to scrap god alone only knows what other goodies went along with the Tiger internals then a few months later a feasibility study was done to see if it could be returned to running condition though they could restore the Porsche Tiger as that does have all the internals not sure about the engine and transmition though or if they wanted the Panther G is complete
