Quite a nice build there, Hal! Darn shame we're not any closer.
We have a perky nice blonde from St. Petersburg here who is interested in flying with us after hearing we are getting a couple of the new Parkzone WWI Albatros D.Va biplanes. Perhaps we can get her interested in tanks while we're at it.

While T54B is still waiting its torsion system, another scratch... a model that has been waiting to be built for so long time...
Sher-Shing or Persh-Man - Sherman with Pershing Turret...
Initially it was Tamiya body but MATOVSS chassis + T49 tracks... Tamiya inside - DMDand MFfrom Pershing...
So today we are on our road wheels... and this warms me a lot

Yes and no, lower hull is by Tamiya, but additionally crafted. Sprockrets, road wheels, idlers and tracks are metal.
Annnd - right on tracks now...

Looking good Hal!
Don't forget to cut the HVSS extensions off and mount the track guards/sand fenders!
At least one of my Shermans have to have them. I think they make a Sherman look even better.

RE: My Soviet Tanks and Allied Tanks
Hmmm, track guards and duckbills. The two don't mix well.
And the picture is not mine, I "borrowed it" from Wiki.

Hal nice tanks. I would have to wonder though if that IR would be a notso friendly fire nightmare.

I believe what Rustytrax was eluding to, was that looking at the mounted IR tube, it looks as though the IR lens is right out of the tube or at the very end of the tube, & not back the typical 6-9mm within the tube; leading one to believe that the IR beam will have a very wide dispersal angle & possible hit tanks to the sides of where you are aiming (where a friendly tank may be sitting), rather than the IR beam just hitting your intended target.

RE: My Soviet Tanks and Allied Tanks
^^^ Thanks Craig.
Yup that is what I was thinking. If the emitter is exposed the beam width would be very wide.
(I am in no way attacking the build which is great.)
Thanks.

Ahh!... Ok, it is not a IR Led looking out of the tube - it is a lens that mounted above the tube, IR led is inside.
Actually we are testing some addings to make our RCTank Battles a little bit more reslistic.
I attach some photos of our devices that cut the angle of IR coverage...
This device on "Phil" (pi N 3) cuts the angle but also reduces the distance of possible damage - instead of 15-20 meters it goes to 6-7 meters.
Actually we are experimenting because you cannot compare the damage of Tiger-I 88 mm or IS-2 122 mm main gun against KV-1 76 mm, or Panzer III...
