Stug III Ausf.F please help
Ineed some help regarding the Stug III Ausf.F.
ON this version, most models seem to have a straight side to the superstructure, ie. its vertical, even if there are some boxes attached to it.
Could someone tell me if this superstructure side wall sits on or over the side wall of the hull underneath. The pictures Ihave are not really clear on this as th efender blocks th eview. Line drawings dont help either as the view is blocked by wheels and so on.
Does the side superstructure on this version sit on the hull side wall or is it displaced in some way?
Also, on this model, is the rear wall of the superstructure vertical where it meets th eengine deck behind? SOme pictures seem to show a slant in it.
Thanks in advance

Here are some pictures
I scavenged these off the web for my own build. I have no idea where they originated, and I apoligize to the very talented modeler who is responsible for this work for not knowing who you are.
Judging from the drawing I would say the sides are vertical and line up with the hull sides. The back wall also seems to slant out towards the top

Hi YHR
These are pictures Ihave seen as well and are part of the reason I am confused.
If you look at this very nice picture: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_92...tm.htm#9221907
you can see that the mudguards are cut away as they approach the hull. Is that because superstructures side wall is wider than the hull wall beneath it?
If you see what Imean.......

Remember that profiline superstructure is sitting ona Heng Long hull. The notches are part of the Heng Long rendition
When I built mine I made the side even with the hull.
Did you look at this
