hey guys, i just re-charged my 7.2volt 3000mah battery pack that i use in my HL bulldog. i wanted to see what the voltage reading was after charging it so i used my multimeter to check the voltage output. i was surprised to see that the voltage output wasnt reading 7.2 volts but reads 8.4volts. ive used this battery several times without any problems with the tank. so im wondering if this means that the hl tanks can run on 7 cell 8.4 volt batteries without any issues. anyone have some insight on this?

Been doing it for 5 years now with no problems with the old TK-RX13 boards. My 4200 comes off the charge at over 9v sometimes and still no problems.

so should i let it sit for awhile befire putting it in the bulldog and connecting it, or is it alright to put it in right after charging?

I know this will sound incorrect , but i have a matched cell , zapped pack that goes up to almost 12 volts when just charged. Like I said that sounds like a bad pack but it is not. The thing runs outstandingly. One of the best packs I have and with it being only a 3600, it lasts as long or maybe longer than some of my cheaper 5000's or 5300's.

The instructions that came with my batteries said to give them about 20 minutes rest before using them which i try to follow but not always.
With venom 3600s we get over 3 hours of run time, not sure how much more they'd go as we've never played with them at once for so long.
