The Tammy Leopard 2A6 I believe has the highest and lowest torque of any in their line up. It comes with finger dismemberment warnings, should you get your finger caught between the treads and sprocket, lol. Otherwise, the others are all the same when talkingstrictlystock gearboxes, but some like the Pershing has a final drive after the transmission unit for more torque.

The Leo has a completely different setup and cannot be used in any other tank.

The Leopard 2A6 got a different type of transmission than the rest that also requires the DMD unit for the Leopard. Besides than that the Tu 3's will be the strongest option, if you still want more power the 3:1 gear reductions and/or stronger 400/480 motors is an option. You can read more about the leo trans here... www.tamiya.com/english/products/56020leopard/index.htm

Very interesting.

I see that the Leoppard TU is on one platform

Can anyone pls measure the total width between the two ends of the output shafts where the steel wheels mount so I can see if I can use it in my Tiger
.

I love the idea of the big motors too.

will my stock MF 01 version handle the extra load of the larger motors ???

cheers

You cannot use the Mf-01 with the leo gearbox. Because there isn't one motor for each track. One is for fwd aft movement and the other one is for steering, therefor MF-01 can't be used.
