Sadly all things must come to an end...
Seems its time to buy a metal hull for this relic tiger 1. Its 4 years old and the platic hull finally gave out. Its been through so much [] . Has anyone tried the new Mato hull and is it reliable for the price? Easy installation??? PLanning on buying the pacakge deal so i get the 3:1 gearboxes at the same time.

Be sure to read all the threads on the 3:1 boxes and understand the issues with them. some have had good luck with them, some not. just be aware of what you are buying into. Don't want you coming back and saying " I have got a problem" with them. Be informed. Of course we will all try to help in all situations but forewarned is forearmed.

I think for $300 it is a real good deal. I haven't had a serious problem with the gears, but some have. If they fail, get something different.

Hey Dan, have you actually leak tested the hull yet. I am wondering just how water tight it is. Now I don't expect you to go and submarine the thing but was just wondering.
Also how well is it balanced? Does it need any added weight front or rear, or does he sit pretty level? How well do the electronics fit with the battery> Enough room to work with or do things get tight in a hurry? How well dos the upper hull fit the lower, any issues with that?
