Hello all,
I ordered the EL Mod halftrack electronics unit from Blitz..(Phil)
Well guys My M16 Quad .50 Halftrack is completed. all box stock and with EL Mod halftrack electronic and CSI combat unit installed.
OK 1st it is a strait forward install out of the box, right down to the connectors. No issues have been encountered thus far.
Radio I used is a DX6, unit runs on only 4 channels.
I tested the basic setup prior to installation of the EL Mod CSI combat unit.
I added a replacement speaker as stock speaker that comes with the halftrack is way too small and weak, also I have loads of spare HL speakers , I used one for now.
The unit drives well, and I have full function of turret .

Well actually it does have a EBnet connector and the CSI works just fine..
Additional info: I mounted the EL MOD CSI unit on the deck near the left rear corner of the combat compartment.
It's pretty well hidden by the turret.
The Tower/TBU is mounted in the front right corner just behind the passenger seat.
The Emitter is mounted on the upper left hand 50cal alongside the ammo can, this offers a solid mount point and also allows the emitter to move freely with the guns.
There is also sufficent in the emitter wire length to allow the turret full range of movement.
The present tower/TBU location does not interfear with nor is it tripped when guns are fired.
The floor was notched to allow for the various cables to exit from the main circuit board.
I will try and post some better pics asap.

Very nice M16 model !!!

I also use Elmod in my M16 . I Changed original tiny speaker to standard HL speaker (placed inside) but later I mount better and stronger Visaton 2 W speaker - the sound is much more louder /and with more bass/ . I ve made a small rectangular hole at the bottom , which will be covered by photo etched grid

I like where this is going. The WSN M-16 screams for modifications. But 4 Ma Deuces would never take down a tank. It needs a gun. I have my parts for a IR battle ready GMC but not the time to build it yet....

Well what you say is indeed very true, however one can stop a tank without going thru the armor.
After all Tracks are not armor, just ask the Russian anti-tank rifle teams during the Battle of Kursk.
and 4 ma-duces will deffinately make a mess of ones tracks and possibly even the sprockets an road wheels.
and so may even take a tank out action.

PS I too have a 75mm for a halftrack in the works
