DMD issues

Hi guys,
Basically overnight my KT's dmd has decided to start playing silly buggers. First of all the turret rotation wouldnt work but everything else was fine. ThenI reset it and it wouldnt let me reprogram it. I get annoyed give up and go to work. Five hours later I try again, this time it doesnt even respond to anything (both lights blink orange). Five minutes laters it starts working again, but this time rotation works but not elevation! I have tried the rx with my other KT and it works fine, ive tried a different dmd with the mf unit and that seems to work ok.
SO does anyone have any ideas about fixing it, and if not how are tamiya about repairing these units?
Regards
Tom

2 cent tip. 1. First, carefully unplug everything from the DMD Units and remove the DMD Units and the receiver from the KT hull. 2. Charge your tank battery and make sure the transmitter has good batterie(s). 3. Again, with DMD Units out of and away from the KT hull, plug in the speaker and the receiver per the directions. 4. Reprogram the units per the instructions and you should now be OK. 5. If your on old AM, make sure there is no interference going on around the DMD units.

Alas I seem to be having no luck, does anyone know the contact details for tamiya in europe to deal with directly, on their site I just get told to deal with my local tamiya stockist

Try the Kiss principle..
Check your tank and TX Battery, TX radio & antenna, crystals, Y-connector, Receiver & wires, communication cable (Examine it carefully) and verify all the connections are tight and wires are good with a magnafying glass. Then run the set-up and check off each step as you go. Have you done any work on the tank recently that may have had a side effect?

Well Ive tried to get hold of the UK agent to see what can be done under warrenty so fingers crossed. @thecommander Ironically this was my trouble free KT!It had been run the day before with no problems, the only thing done was remove the battery for charging!Ive just purchaced a fixer upper which is have been converting to full option which was having some turret rotation issues (with the very old school rottion unit), these I managed to solve yesterday so I thought Ill run them out together. Would seem the technical problems are catching!

Don't be discouraged. If you were nearby I'd loan you a comm. cable, DMD & MF to try out from my spares. Double check that "Y" connector. Make sure each wire is making a good connection and the tips in the Tamiya connectors and solid and clean. I eliminate the Y connecor is all my personal tanks. Tamiya does not care if you clip off the connectors.
