Got Mud
#2
Hey Mergen...lookin' good. Could actually go up higher on the front plate. You going to do any mods to the details? The driver's scopes are still looking at birds..pull them out straight up, file the backs and put them in looking straight. The pioneer rack is too high...cut the legs about in half. Rust All on the muffler shields. Mud looks good....your crew will love cleaning it off at the wash rack.
The inner headlamp in front of the driver is IR...,paint it a dark wine.

Gotcha! PC, just started, I knew if I put this out there you would give me the way to go, I drove this thing one time from the train ramp to the Maint. yard. To bad Patton dident have these, could have run those Tigers crazy. I think we sent a lot of them to Isreal in the late 60's and made Dusters out of the rest.

Isreal never had M-41s. The one at Latrun was a test vehicle. IDF rejected the M-41 due to range of gun and poor operating range.
What in h-ll have you got sticking out the coax port[X(] Is this replicating a Pz II? Only one cal 50 for the TC and definately not for the coax. The spare cal 50 barrel is strapped to the left rear of the turret.
The M-42 Duster replaced the M-19 copperhead..twin 40s on the M-24 chassis. Not made from 41s. Same changeover as the
M-24 to M-41.

OK, "educated posterrior".. gotta watch where you stick those cal 50 barrels..might get a happy squeel.
...The M-42 had the same chassis as the M-41, just like the M-59 and M-84....they shared the same chassis but were totally different designs. Now if you want to retrofit and mount twin 40mms in the M-41 turret
Here's a Super Bulldog from Tamiya.[X(] Can you pick out the tank parts?

OK, Parts 101; M-41 rear hull in front, Cent 21 Pz IV rear chassis, center chassis sheet styrene, Pershing tracks, wheels T-34, Pz III and 1;6 Stuart, back deck & turret Sherman, Cupola T-34, Pz IV muffler, Pz III mantlet, M-41 gun with 17 pounder muzzle brake, turret box T-34 inside ammo box with Mato Sherman spare tracks sides and Pz III track on back. Inspiration,,,clean up the parts box. Here's another view.

c'mon now....making a BS tank can be fun. Israel started with three tanks in 1948. The entire armored force consisted of a Sherman pieced together from parts of Italian, English and French tanks damaged and left as junk. Two Cromwells were added by two British soldiers that decided to stay in Israel and brought their tanks with them. Most of Israel's tanks were pieced together from scraps and look what they did with them. Try it...you'd be surprised what you can come up with and get rid a some parts that have been laying in the dust bin forever.

Hi Airbrushler
Actually that looks like the proposed version of the Luchs Recce tank, fitted with the turret & 50mm gun of the Puma Armoured car. So perhaps not that far out?
