You could use telescoping brass or aluminum tubing from K & S they sell longer lengths.
they are not normally tapered so filling the steps would be necessary. last resort only in my humble opinion.

Hmmm, I always thought the T-44 had an 85MM gun. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-44 At least that's what I have read.

The town navigation with an SU-100 had to be even worse for that long Naval gun. At least with a turret it can be rotated to avoid buildings.

So when are these beasts going to be completed?

several versions of the 86, a 122 prototype and a 100

T-44-100 (1945) – Prototype fitted with a new modified turret which would allow fitting the 100 mm D-10T gun or 100 mm LB-1 gun. The tank carries 36 rounds for the 100 mm tank gun.[12] This prototype had the 12.7 mm DShK anti-aircraft heavy machine gun fitted to the loader's hatch, 6 mm thick sideskirts protecting the sides and two cylindrical fuel tanks in the back giving it a fuel capacity of 1035L. The longer tank gun barrel increased the overall length of the vehicle to 8.04 m. The new turret, new armament and the sideskirts made the vehicle heavier as it weighed 34.55 tonnes.

Yes the step would have to be filled, but not hard to do, just some sanding evolved after they are filled.
