IS-2 speaker
I am having a feedback or some kinda issue with the speaker. Appearantly anyone with better hearing than me can hear it and is very annoyed by a high frequency whine. I moved the radio, I opened the speaker etc... the only thing I can do is put a small piece of a napkin over the speaker to filter the whine. Ideas are welcome. I'll be a Danville so please help if you know what it is. Otherwise I appologise in advance for any nausea you may experience from the noise.

if it's aything like my KT I know what you are talking about. Mine is a old kit so I thought it might be that but it's a high fr. noise when I turn on the tank ( before the radio) the noise after it's started drowns it but yeah it's anoying .

RE: IS-2 speaker
I have yet to add anything since I just completed the build. If I unplug the speaker the noise is sine present but not as amplified if the speaker has power. I have a notion it is coming from the t-07 even with the controller off it can be heard.
For now the napkin trick has muted it to where at full volume it can not be heard from 10'. Otherwise it was clearly heard over the speaker tank at 20'. Fisrt time I have actually been thanfull i can't hear that range.

these electronics we use do emit a high frequency noise. It helps to make certain your transmitter trims are centered perfectly, there are infact capaciters on the motors. Cable shielding can help with high frequency noise also.

The technology Tamiya uses in their electronics is what causes the high pitched noise, its actually the PWM drive signal to the motors. Some of the sound gets to the speaker, some of it is generated right from the electronics board (high frequency vibration).
Its normal, all the Tamiya tanks do this.
Its a rather poor design not sheilding this noise.

Yep... those 380's are very dirty and junk.

RE: IS-2 speaker
I agree with thios statement whole heartedly, 480 motors will reduce the screaming big time
ORIGINAL: Rustytrax
My son reports that after switching to the 480s the noise is gone. I never could hear it so I'll take his word.
