I started this build back in May just after the posting of the JS-2 release and builds . It started out as a KV-85 but now as you can order the 122mm barrel from the JS-2 kit and they did build a KV-122 for testing of the DT-25 gun so why not . They said it was not used in the field but there was also talk that when some KV-85 cam in for repairs with turret damage they switched the turret out for the JS-2 turrets .
It has a Asiatam lower metal hull Jurckenburg KV-85 turret converted for 122mm barrel had this turret laying around so used it even tho its not correct on the front of the turret it was cut to short the barrel mantel should of been wider more like the Profinine kit . You can now buy the turret spruce from Tamiya USA .The barrel is set up with servo recoil cause I'm using the Clark TK22 in it along with HL elevation and HL hi output flash and a TBU the upper hull is a HL KV-1 .

Here is the 122mm Barrel set up with servo recoil and I used a couple ball bearings I had left over from a Tamiya Pershing build for the pivot points on the gun mount .

Here is the elevation mech in and parts off the paint done am waiting on decal package to come from Texas then will start weathering .
Got the TK-22-KV control board in the mail today and found the TK-22-Leo2 board with it that was on back order sweet .
