Metal tracks for Leopard
#7
I am not looking for "track sag".
Colour and wear (where the road wheels polish the track" and strength is the reason.
Mitosal has them a lot cheaper. Anyone here run them?

I run the Impact tracks and they are excellent. The track pad slides in and locks into place (same as the snow grousers), just like the real track. Very durable and with no issues. I bought the Tamiya tracks first, my opinion junk. Upon opening the packaging, I found two tracks with some sticky residue on them and till this day and after numerous cleanings, they still are sticky. Also, however or whatever they do to adhere the pad to the track, it doesn't work for long. Ripping the Leo across the driveway and it was a rooster tail of track pad behind it. Maybe I got a bad set, unknown but the Imact tracks are solid. Hope this helps...

Boys, all I know is, the tracks I got within the Impact box are sweet. Especially in a Canadian winter, I clear the snow of the pool and can do some drifting with just pads on. Place the grousers on and with the weight tank, you can control it nicely on the ice. Hey Don, if you want those Tamiya tracks, maybe you can figure a way to fix the sticky pads.

In general all Impact tracks are well made and work good. The Impact metal tracks for the Leopard 2 are not worth it. Why?
In my opinion, Impact Metal Tracks on a Leo 2 offer neither a cosmetic nor a performance improvement. If your interested in improving an already fine kit, think about relocating the tank battery to the hull from the turret (to eliminate turret sag & drag), install road wheel bearings and check out the tons of after market parts available from ETO and AFV: http://www.afv-model.com/4711shop/in...th=10_14_15_35
