Have you sprayed your final flat coat? The reason I ask is that I can see your decal edges. I use a product called Micro SOL to get rid of the decal edges. it makes the decal melt to the surface of the model. It will make the edges disappear. then I spray the final flat coat.

By flat coat do you mean varnish? If so no I've not yet. Thanks for the microsol tip though! I'll give that a go.

Yes sir, copy that, flat varnish!!! It is a bad habit we Yanks have. We are always using short cuts with the English language. The Micro SOL also helps on uneven surfaces as well. I learned about it from a friend of mine that does model railroad stuff. He uses it to get decals to settle down on all that tiny detail on the side of a locomotive or rolling stock.

ETO still has the tow cables listed on their site.

http://www.etoarmour.com/products.php?ViewCategory=10

That is where I purchased mine a month or so back.

Maybe they still have some in stock.

Oh yeah, incredible work, especially on the photo etch. My Tiger is my first go at photo etch, and I am finding it a huge challenge. If mine turns out half as good as yours, I will be more than satisfied.

Thanks for the inspiration.

I've been busy trying to get norbert finished over the weekend. Thanks to some very helpful forum members I found a colour of mud I was happy with and cracked on. I used a mix of acrylic resin, plaster, tamiya xf-52 flat earth and Vallejo desert yellow(no 125) with a smattering of European earth pigment. I've also finished off the soot marks on the exhausts, painted and weathered the tracks and finally painted the hatches elefanbein. I mixed this up by eye using xf-60 dark yellow, xf-2 white and a tiny bit of xf-65 field grey to take some of the yellow hew out. I've also painted the smaller cable on the side. Main things left now are to finish the jack, microsol over the decals, matt varnish the lot and finally some crew!

I've finally got around to putting some more paint on him! I decided the base colour of the jacket was all wrong, so I remixed the colours with uniform grey, red brown and dark yellow (tamiya) then progressively lightened with dark yellow. About 7 layers so far! Still all the details to do and maybe some more highlights.

And in the tank:

That is one beautiful tank. My grandpa showed me pictures of the Tiger 1 platoon he was in charge of. Other than markings and not being black and white that tank looks spot on.
