Hey .... I did a Google search for ---- Kubelwagen balloon tires ---- and this was in the "images" heading. I have no idea if this helps you out, but take alook.

Here are photos of the different wheels that the Schwimmwagen used. The 1st photo is the standard Kubel wheels the 2nd is of what I think they called East Front tires? Anyway the kit I have came with the standard Kubel wheels and I have been looking for the East Front wheels, but no body makes them that i know of.

Yet another type of load for my Studebaker US6.......... will it ever end ??????

Also, I originally installed the fenders on the cab too high up. It looked finny and really started to bother me. I removed them and lowered them to make them more correctly positioned.

Maus.

I apologize for anything in my postings that may have suggested that I was considering making a set of tires for your project. I can only say that I am sorry if I somehow misled you about that.

Rex, no worries, I was not expecting you to make me a set of wheels! I was just trying to be funny about how fast you are turning out the load packages for your Studebaker. Although I may hit you up for info on how you did your wheels when I try to make my own.

I suspected you were kidding me, but I also thought it wouldn't hurt to make sure. I'm retired and just turned 75, and at this point in my life I don't have a lot of other things to do except build fun toys as I enjoy going thru my second childhood (other people say senility and dementia). I think this Studebaker thread has run it's course ..... maybe one more, maybe not. About making tires, I have a ton of info about how not to do things, however I'm not too sure about doing anything right, but I will always share my "learning experiences" if asked.

Rex
