Sturmtiger conversiond

Here is a link to the rctank.de SturmTiger conversion. The cost is around $345 U.S. dollars. You may want to consider the Taigen SturmTiger ? It is a complete ready to run R/C tank and will be close in price when it is available.

Thanks Maus45! Yes we will have two versions of the Sturmtiger coming out soon. One will be in a plastic version while the other will be a metal version. The plastic version will be be desert yellow while the metal version will come in an ambush pattern. Pictures below

So June/July for the SturmTiger and same for the T-34/85?

Around that time yes. We are shooting for June/July weather and customs permitting. They always seem to nab us, I guess it is cause we are importing lots of tanks
All the Torro tanks will be here at the same time as the T34. The next shipment after that I will have tons of parts.

My Imperial Models Sturmtiger kit only cost 200 bucks, then plus the WECOHE steel wheels which were another 250. Too bad there aren't any affordable kits around anymore. After looking at Tom's project I realized just how much fun that was building mine with a Tamiya TI. Even more fun than building the M4A1E8.
That DOES look good there Tom!

Cheers there Jeff! The asiatam kits about £160-170 and you can pick up a donor taigen tiger over here for £120-150. I got lucky my strum was £60 for the conversion and £120 for the taigen donor. Luckily had some tamiya gear spare

I used a Tamy Tiger as a donor for the lower and running gear with a Matorro upper. I bashed them together and it turned out quite well. It was hell to find a Matorro though here in the States...

here is mine sturmtiger i bought him from a guy who sold his 1/16 tanks and stuff
it has the early or mid wheelsetup ... no steelwheels ... only one was made as a prototype ... afterwards the production begun
Due to delays, Hitler did not request production of the weapon until 19 April 1944; 12 superstructures and weapons for the Sturmtiger would be prepared and mounted on rebuilt Tiger I chassis. The first three production series Sturmtigers were completed by Alkett in August 1944. Plans to complete an additional seven 38 cm Sturmtigers from 15 to 21 September 1944 were presented to Hitler in a conference on 18–20 August 1944. Ten Sturmtigers were produced in September, along with an additional five in December 1944.

Not to be a wet rag here but is anyone checking the authenticity of a Sturm with Ambush paint? There where only 19 built total so the chances of it having a specific pattern is not very likely. Most where simply painted with the standard 3 color pattern.

Just Google (it's a search engine) Sturmtiger and you will see that a least a couple were painted that way.

i found some foto's of the sturmtiger with early or midwheels under it :
That was first and last prototype of sturmtiger ever build.
After prototype, series-produced was start. 12 sturmtigers were build between august 13 and september 21, and 5 were build in december 1944.
So we have 18 sturmtigers, including prototype.
In Sturmtiger repaired Tiger's hull was used. So we have zimm coat on hull, oryignal from late Tiger I, and on the superstructure no zimm coated:
Examples:
This Sturmtiger from 1001 Panzersturmmoerserbatterie destroyed on february 28, 1945

that's like my model i bought , just the camo isn't right , only one was made ... the first one

I built my Sturmtiger without a lot of references or knowing the whole history of them, so it's easy to be confused. I only went by paint schemes but didn't realize that they ALL had zimm applied to the lower hull.
It was too late once I had painted mine. A second Sturmtiger would be nice!
