Hello I'm new to r/c tanks but like many I'm hooked, my first one is a taigen kv-1 hc series, I love it! Tried it out on the kitchen floor, saw my wife and turned the turret, aim and fire, they are very accurate! ...then I had to let her shoot me. I have noticed it is quite fast on straight flat ground but noticed it lacks torque. I have been looking around for motors and found two that caught my eye. First pair I bought is a jp power 480. It's long and looks like it has good torque. Then I started reading on this promax neodym 370 it's a little smaller then the stocks 380's but looks well made, some key features that I like are dual ball bearings (even the jp 480 has bushings), adjustable timing (which I will be setting for torque) I got them in the mail today and rotated the jp power 480 and I can feel the magnets grab some but with little effort I turned the shaft, I then tried the promax Neodym 370 and thought it was stuck at first but with about 3-4 times the effort to spin the 480 the 370's shaft spun a bit. Even though a little smaller they feel strong!, they also have replaceable brushes! I can see the chrome looking Neodym magnets, they are way stronger! I will be testing them both after braking them in. I'm waiting on the lower profile 4:1 steel gear transmissions for the kv-1 also does anybody know the mod/ pitch for the pinion to these gears? Thanks for any help
