I purchased two (2) new Hen Long tanks. Both are S&S, both came with the standard Sender Radio Control. One is for my M4A3 105mm Howitzer and the other for my Panther "G". Removed them from the box, charged the yellow batt. and put the AA's in the controlers. Nothing, no bright light on the controler no sound or start-up for the tank.??? Switched the crystal to another older controller from my M-26 S&S, Tanks work great, no problems. A couple of friends also bought the HL Panther "G" with same controller as what came with mine. Supprise theirs didn't work either. Is it just us or has anyone ealse had this problem??? If so how did you fix it without having to buy new Controllers? Thanks for any help. Chuck R.

No TX lights...
Plan A: Make sure the TX batteries are new or fully charged. Make sure each one is in its proper pos or neg orientation and that the silver battery connectors (spring loaded) in the rear of the TX are in place. If is still is NG and won't lite up give it a few gentle taps with you palm. If all else fails.... then give it a good hard whack or two on the side. I have had to give many a HL TX a "wake-up call" but they are pretty rugged. The tank will not start (tank lights will go from flash to steady & will have sounds) w/o a TX command. With one good TX and swapping crystals you can start each tank individually correct?
Plan B: Take 40 north then west to Rt 29 north to Danville, VA and bring them to me on Friday thru Sunday at the AAF Tank Museum to fix for you.

Tried smacking the controls, Believe it or not-it revealed a loose wire which I soldered back into place. Still couldn't get it to work. So I tried switching out the 3 circuit boards one at a time. Results! one now works and found a cracked board tht must be replaced. Contacted Moto and the can get me the board, also ordered some spare gaskets for the guns. My wife likes to see her rounds hit my tank, rather than just hear it with the IR sets. She usually kicks my backside because she is so unpredictable. Anyway Thanks again for the help.
