After doing the Crusader conversion and Cromwell conversions a few years back, the Grant was going to be my next big project.
I eased off a bit, and am taking a breather with a nice and easy t34/85 to t34/76 1942 conversion.
But deep down inside, I REALLY want to do a Grant tank in Western Desert colours. But it is a daunting task. Here is an excellent build thread, if no one has already posted it.
And DAMN! Just looking at this makes me want to go get a Mato Sherman and start cutting!!

Hey .... go for it !!! Which camo scheme are you thinking of doing?

My favorite is the El Alemein paint job.
I want to do something that has the Caunter paint scheme someday.

I love that scheme, Rex - looks so good on the Grant.
I had actually considered doing a Matilda or a Valentine, which both wore caunter camo in the Western Desert. But - considering I have a lot of derelict t34 parts around incuding a hull, full suspention AND a set of Panzer 3 tranks, the best bet might be to bash together a Cruiser Mk3... boxy, sort of cool and they did see combat in the Caunter scheme....
