On TCM tomorrow morning (2-9-15) at 10:45 A.M. EST, the 1943 movie "Sahara" with Bogart is on. All the tank talk about the upcoming 1/16 M3 Lee, this movie should satisfy the waiting time until we get our hands on it!

I guess I'll have to come out of the cave more often. A Taigen M3 Lee? This is the first I've heard of that, Jeff, so tell me more. I brought up the M3 the last time this movie was on (GREAT flick, BTW) and nobody really seemed to care much about it.

Sorry guys. It was more about the movie than who was releasing it. After a while you get numb about who is releasing what. HL, Taigen, Mato... you get my drift.
I have it on DVD but it's so much easier to flip on the TV than firing up a few sound system components and inserting a disc. LOL!
Thanks!!

I hear ya, Jeff, I have it on DVR but I'll still leave it on if I run across it on TCM. I wish someone would show old episodes of .. drum roll please ... The Rat Patrol!! I thought about trying to scratchbuild an M3 but at this point it's a bit beyond my skill set. Rex is helping me change that, though, so maybe one day.
I haven't heard of anyone releasing an M3, but I have seen photos of the M36 Jackson and I understand Mato will have an M10 to go with it. Dave at Blue Star (every time I type that it reminds me of Martin Sheen in Wall Street working for Blue Star Airlines) is interested in doing a hull top for the M7 Priest, but he said there's a problem with the placement of the driver's compartment. Anyone that's good with that kinda stuff may want to take a look and see if the Priest would be a good candidate for an RC adaptation project like that, made to fit on one of the existing Sherman chassis'.

Gary, here's the thread on the possible M3 and Stuart offering. I wouldn't hold my breath consdiering the "prototypes" look to be a privately scratch built representations. Definitely gonna be awhile before we'd see them on any shelves.

Yes, Battleground is good... a little dated but good.
"darn stupid hippie brain! Doh!" Glad I'm not the only one from time to time.
