right direction. Make sure to tell them you there for the r/c event and plan on participating for 2 days. Also Joe, if you have any other questions on the Nov. event post them up on the event thread. You'll get quicker and more informative responses and we can keep this thread about the awesome pics!

I just got back from Danville... It was great... First time I got to see Danville properly... Cool little town,,,, I like it much better than Charlottesville, where I live.. and the Tank Museum is ... well... it was ok... I have personally visited Aberdeen since I was 11.. I'm 54 now, Bovinghton... Koblenz, Munich, and Samur.... now I've seen Danville....
it really doesn't quite get to the level of any of the other museums I've mentioned... but it was Great to see their Panzer IV (which I did not know they had)..... I think it was an Late G / Early H with Late H sprockets and idlers..... It is very cool...Danville also has lots of what you would expect... no surprises there... the German uniform collection, especially
some of the German High command was impressive,,, Off the top of my head they had Rommel. and Thoma... it was very cool... it even held my wife's interest.. and that's saying something... I've been dragging her to tank museums for 20 years... she is a real trooper... : )
What I really want to mention is how GREAT!!! the RC tankers were and the rather large audience... By my count it was about 300 ... and the Tankers... many who you will find on this site... well there isn't a better, nicer, and more welcoming group of entheused RC Tankers anywhere... I felt immedieately at home.....The RC tanks were
varied and many were done very very well... I am sure many of you know these tanks, but, as I am still quite new to this forum... it was all new to me... So I give the event an A, the people an A+, the museum a C, well lets say a C+, and the Town Danville a B+... Thanks all who put this event on and were so friendly....
Veronica and I will be there from now on as long as we can make it.... I am looking forward to the tank rides...... Joe
P.S. I'd start a new thread, but this was the thread that got me to go (I really Thank you for the heads up Badsdass).. and the Photos Badass Force are posting really do tell the story.... I would only have the same pix if I uploaded any and mine aren't a 3D..... if any one wants to see pix of the Panzer IV... let me know and i'll post them....
