I obtained a very good discount against the recommended retail price but still paid the equivalent of over $US 1100 and at that price I would definitely say forget it. I cannot compare it with any other tank from Tamiya or any other manufacturer but reading other peoples reviews I would say my impression that cost cutting by Tamiya has degraded this item is justified. For example mounting points for LEDs & clear parts for the turn indicators are moulded in but there is no circuitry to implement them. Presumably this was a cost saving omission as I helped a friend with a Tamiya truck which had them and more functioning. So it looks quite good & functions as advertised but needs a more realistic price in my opinion.
