Right on. Maybe you could just find some wigs and uniforms in 1/6 and have your fella's "experiment" for the evening.

Good to know you're watching, Wayne. I'm hoping that this build might encourage the 1/16 tankers to look for other methods of powering the airsoft BBs, and also that the large scale guys will see that a lot of our 1/16 control boards can easily be used for large scale tanks, at a significant savings. I mean, think about trying to get all this stuff working separately. $110 for a smoke unit, maybe $150 for the benedini and sound system, not to mention all the stuff like lights and Machine gun. I did all that with one IBU2, and it has even more to offer. Right now I'm thinking about using the headlight circuit to turn the laser pointer on and off. The Hetzer didn't have headlights, and I decided the notek would be too much work for something you can't see in daylight anyway, so I can use the headlight circuit for something else, just as I used the barrel recoil servo to pull the trigger and the elevation servo to provide traverse for the MG34. I guess what I'm saying is that I hope this will get guys to think outside the box when it comes to these control boards. Just because it says "barrel recoil" in the instructions doesn't mean you have to use it for that, can ya dig it?

The CO2 line is supposed to be here today, but I don't usually get much done on the tanks during the week so it might get put off till the weekend. I did get the primer and first coat of dark yellow down, though. Pics tonight.

I know that some time down the road after I move to my new state, new house I will get some time to work on a 1/6 panther that's been sitting under my bed for about 7 years that my wife bought me for Christmas when I was still a chief engineer on the Tugs. Maybe then I will put some of my skill and try using some skill from others that I seen on this form, but for now I'm pretty involved with my Deuce, something that I wanted since I was a kid growing up. Till then Ill keep watching.

If you're interested in FPV, this portion of the Hetzer build may be informative. Kinda long, but lots of info. If you want to do this in a 1/16 tank and use battery power you need an additional board to step up the voltage, but it works pretty much the same as the step down I use for the fan in the video. I think I could put FPV in a 1/16 Tiger and mount everything to the underside of the upper hull, with the camera in the driver's viewport. I might have to try that sometime, just for kix.

Gary
Cool and informative video. I'd like to make an FPV driver for my Stuart. I'd mount the camera right in his head. He'd be ugly - but driving the tank by FPV would be cool. Best regards,
Bob

Got the new camera, and as the video was uploading the new paintball gun showed up, so now it's time to get back to work.

Very very interesting videos, Crius. FPV is something that I want to do in my tanks for years. Do you have a link for the smallest camera possible? I want to install it inside a PIII or PIV and make it unnoticeable from outside.

Some of the Mobius stuff. The wide angle lens makes the back of the mantlet look really strange, so I'll keep that in mind and try something different next time.

Great stuff Gary. Not sure if they are still around but I think you can get some glow in the dark paint balls that you either have a UV light in your hopper or just keep them in the sunlight for a bit then go shooting at night. Your neighbor should love that.

This might have been the last good weather I see this year, so I made sure to get some video. Here's just a bit.
