So picked up on of those hateful Jagdtigers the last time at Danville. Thanks BOB. {Still need your paypal!}
Once home I messed around with a few things and installed an IBU2 PRO. I mounted the Battle unit and made a recoil. I also found a pretty cool widget on Ludwigs site that I'm going to make the traverse from. It was for the JP but I think I can mod it work in the JT.
I'll update once those parts come in and I get to working on it.
I think the hardest part was deciding on what to do about the dersert tan. I base coated the tank and was considering zimmerit and leaving it yellow. None of the production JTs had it so I opted out. 45.00 bucks sitting around in zim now.
I didn't want a heavy saturation color scheme since I have those. I also didn't want it to look like the stock tank.
SOOOO this is what I came up with. This is still fresh dull coat so it will fade out a bit more. No Chipping done yet.

My Feedback: (1)
Troy that's great work. It looks a little funny without the tracks, though, don't ya think? But the paint is great and I can imagine how it will look with tracks and it's just seriously impressive.
I can't wait to see what you do with Traverse. I might be able to use it for my own JT, and it might also give me ideas for the Hetzer. The paintball cannon in the Hetzer may be a bit more difficult due to it's size and plumbing, but I know it can be done.
Keep up the great work, Troy, and I'll be watching anxiously to see what you come up with next!

Thanks "G". I had a screw up today and chopped mu TBU base wises in half $30.00. Cut-em right off at the TBU. Frustrating!
I'm going to wait for blue skies and a a better mood before I attempt to repair them.
I'm confident in the traverse mod.

The apple isn't low. The bottom sits level with the top of the casemate just like if it were in a cupola. The picture is throwing the perspective off.
The apple is the same height as it is in Panther.
BTW for this battle only it is was IFA. You maybe able to se the blue tape on the front. Normally it's TFA unless a club specifies it to be IFA

IF its IFA not a big deal, but if its is not IFA its not mounted on the top center-ish like it should be. It doesn't have anything to do with the over all height, but the amount of tank blocking it from the front. If your even slightly higher than the person shooting at you your blocking it, whereas the JT posted in one of your video's from the Danville event its on the top and it would have to be a lot higher than the opponent to do the same thing.

Not really. The tank doesn't block the apple in any way. If you were to see it you would know. The tank would have to be at enough angle that filter fins would come into play before the casemate interfered with the IR signal.

Looks mighty fine Troy!
So why is the apple mounted back there? Traverse and recoil in the way? And why is it "hateful"?
Is it a Danville thing?

Yes there isn't enough room inside to mount the base in the commanders hatch. The reason its back there is it didn't require cutting the casemate.
Also other JTs at Danvlle have had it back there.
This is what I have to make the traverse.
The JT was nick named hateful because one club sets them so the apple is covered on the front (IFA). Durrung those events the thing is hatefull because of this and it's speed was crazy fast also. So hateful with a roll eyes.
Thank you for the compliment.

So, not every club runs it as an IFA then? I always believed that according to RCACN it and the Elefant were?

Nope, A.C.E. runs them TFA since they are casemate AFVs. N.E.A.D. runs it IFA. H.E.A.T. runs all tanks as TFA regaurdless of having a turret or not. These are main clubs at Danville.
