here is the turret completed and some of the stowage and road wheels. Looking pretty good so far.
I broke the barrel recoil mount and was lucky enough to get a 3D printed version, but it was too short, the barrel was too far back inside the mantlet. I had to fabricate a piece of brass to lengthen the mount about 4mm. I hooked it up to the electronics and it worked perfectly.

Nice recovery on the recoil unit.

Good work then. I like the exhausts - I am going for a slightly later version than yours, same exhaust set up as you have done, crew heater fitted to deck but running on all steel wheels.
Its going to be one of Piepers Ardennes Panthers.
I have all of the Duel in the Mist series of books that contains some useful reference photographs and paint schemes.
To be honest its a bit of a rescue job as I acquired a Tamiya paint caked hull and turret when I was trying to source a Panther barrel for another project.
Its running on a Heng Long lower with a conversion I carried out using HL Panther and KT wheels.
I will post some pictures at some point - but at the moment I have another build I am concentrating on.
The disc pattern camo you are planning will look very fetching - looking foreward to more !!

the build is progressing well, for those interested, here are the stencils i am going to use.
The hull and turret are primed and ready for paint, more to follow.
these seem they will work well.
these seem to be of a much smaller size, not sure how i will use these, if i even do
i like this marking scheme, it should look pretty cool. i really like the red outline on the cross.

Knowing Will's work for some years now, this is a very good and well thought out build. The disc cammo is work, but it will look grand. I got a preview this morning and I'm impressed.

Well, the tank is almost finished, the last remaining things to do is: mount the hull MG and the turret motor. The build was relatively smooth, I pretty much followed the build steps. Since this was my first Panther build, I really enjoyed it and its a pretty good kit. I did add a metal elevation arm, blue gears to the turret rotation and gun elevation. the gear boxes did get a Daryl hull brace. So here are some pics of the paint process:
