Default Using HL 6.0 to Test Tamiya Compatibility?

I'm about to start a King Tiger project and I'm going to use an older IBU2 Pro and I want it to be fully tamiya compatible so I'm going to use a genuine tamiya Apple and base, my question is about testing. If I start throwing hits at a Tamiya compatible tank with an HL 6.0 tank, I should still see all the speed reduction for battle damage and any other features that are included in the tammy compatible board, shouldn't I? I'd like to use my HL JP to test the IBU in the King Tiger. I know it won't be good for range or anything, but I'm hoping it will at least tell me if things are working properly in the King Tiger. What do you guys think?

Gary Hi, My two pencesworth says that it should'nt matter whether its a Taigen/Torro or Heng Long Tank if the Board is an IBU2 Pro,
It has to be one of the best upgrade boards for fighting a Tank that you can find..
What it does say is that you are a cheapskate saving yourself the price of a Tamiya Tank

Actually, by the time it's done I might have more into this than a Tamiya. I've wanted to do one of these for a long time, using the best from all different brands.

I'll do a separate build log, but the tank I want to test will be a torro King Tiger metal lower with torsion bar suspension, metal roadwheels, sprockets & idlers and closed pin tracks, The upper hull and turret are Porsche, from the old all plastic Taigen King Tiger, it will have an IBU2 Pro with TPA amp and twin speakers, the turret is already IR so it has the recoiling barrel and high intensity flash but I might try out the new HL recoil with barrel smoke, and I'll be using a genuine tamiya apple and base. Like I said, the best of several different companies. Still not sure what radio I'll use, but the choices are Turnigy 9X, Flysky i6 or Flysky i10, or maybe just the cheapest HK 6 channel. One of the long term tests will be to see if the smoke messes up the flash over time.
