I modeled up a tail light cover for the Heng Long KV1. Should glue right over the existing hole.

That looks really good. I also have stl files for the complete tail light can if you ever need them. They hold a 3 mm LED just perfect and I've used them on multiple different RC trucks.

Nice job on the light covers. I also designed and printed some for my Ford GPA. Being able to design stuff like this for these tanks is great.
