Nemesis:

I did my Sherman the other way round, slicing off the bottom of the box to make it more shallow so I can put a pair of sticl-packs flat in the belly. Then again, the Sherman speaker box does not have bolts that secure it to the floor because you are supposed to double-stick tape it to the sponson-flanges.

But for my Pershing, I won't have this problem... I'm using a partially stripped one... basic DMD plys traverse unit & servo-elevation. I'll be rigging a flash from one of the three old King Tiger units I was given (yes, they ALL work) and I'll be all set.

Just need the Schumo Idler and a few other bits, and my M26 will be ready to roll, especially with most of the snow gone now!

OK gang...Due to time constraints...I want to have this Ready for Sunday....I am showing you a fast forward with the Pershing Turret complete and installed to the hull..The rats nest of wiring is all in there and headlights and taillamps are working as are all the Full Function Features//// So what is missing are a few detailed plastic pieces as well as some weathering and Markings...I will wait until I get back from Austin to apply markings...Tomorrow night I will finish the detail parts...THe Battle Unit is installed..I will mount the IR transmitter per instructions on the barrel until I get some extra time to mount it internally....Enjoy the pics.... See you tankers Sunday in AUstin at the TAA meeting...and battle day....

mikeyt,
Here is a link to help you find the CLOSEST R/C Tank Club to you...

http://www.texasarmor.com/Texas_Armo.../RC_Clubs.html <-- Click on the icons to check out all the clubs and their links...

http://lori.rogers.home.mindspring.com/battlefront.htm <--- I would recommend checking these guys out... They are on the border of Michigan...I know it is a drive but once a month or every 2 months would be great for you to begin to contact active r/c Tankers and begin a branch in your hometown!!

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/armornutsrcarmorhut/ <--- Join this group and post a question "Looking for Tankers in Michigan" and see who lives closest to you... You will be surprised at the response...

That looks great with the blackened muzzle brake!

I cut my speaker box off, re-sealed it and the sound quality didn't change at all!
