I just finished putting together the Tamiya 1/16 scale King Tiger, I have a few Questions,
I am using Futaba 4va-am radio system.
First, am I suppose to be using the Receiver Battery Pack that came with the Radio, does this pack with the 4 AA batteries get hooked up to the receiver battery channel.
Also I cannot get the machinegun to work or the main gun to flash, fire or recoil. I am sure that I have all the wires hooked up right but I must be missing something. Since I am new with this any help would be appricated.

Na, throw it in your spare parts box. Everything runs through the DMD/MFU. Then try your MG and everything else. You do have the Communication cable hooked up??

Its short for mchine gun. Instead of writing it out people here just use MG
Here are some other Shorts.
MG= Machine gun
FO= Full option
HL= Heng Long (R/C tank maker)
Big T= Tamiya

From: blanchard, OK,
DO NOT hook up the receiver pack as you would for other RC applications. My instructions in the Leo, Tiger and M26 all Tamiya say this in several places. I can't speak for what the KT says but I dont' know why it would be any different. If you have, not sure what if anything would or could happen. I would get the manual out and double check all connections, disconnect and go back at it and start it clean. Good luck.

I am assuming you have the right stick set up for the gun elevation (Vertical / UP and DOWN). The trim tab the goes with the Vertical stick should have beenset to Neutral while you set up your tank.
To fire the MG, FIRST move the Trim Tab all the way up, THEN Move the Vertical Stick all the way up. The MG should fire for as long as you have the stick up.
To fire the Main Gun, FIRST move the Trim Tab all the way down, THEN QUICKLY FLICK the stick all the way down. The main gun should fire, and then "reload" before you can shoot again (apporx. 9 sec for a Heavy Tank)
If this doesn't work, you should go through the set up again. making all the trim tabs are set per the instructions (Neutral I think).
Good luck
