Default leaning towards a pershing ,what extras

i would get full function nat. and of course the tank will come from tam. i,m seeing in this forum some extras or up grades. what do ya recomend ? different tracks, bearings trannies. i have an old leo from tam. still runs i wanted to put a different hull on it but there are some people in here that will track me down [pun intended] . can i expect the same quality on the persh. that the leo has/had? what i wanted to do is make the old leo into the ger. recovery tank based on the m88 . one more ? any one tried to make a flail tank using the tam. sher. that would be a challenge seprate motor for drive shaft, servo to raise and drop frame ,switch on radio to engage flail. man those scale chains beating the ground or some stalled tiger to death [now your thinking huh] tanks for any feed back

Only mod I see as necessary is the idler upgrade. Its the only thing I added and my Pershing has run like a swiss watch for almost two years without any maintenance of any kind.

If you are doing a Bergepanzer with the old leopard definitely send me some pics. That would be awesome with a working crane and bulldozer blade.

It is not necassary for the BTU, It will run without. You can always add it later if you decide to battle.
the bearings are optional as well(will run smoother, supposedly)

You can order the 1/16 Tiger 1 decals from Tamiya.

Backyard Armor has the Elite Armor decals in 1/16: http://www.backyardarmor.com

Or there's a German manufacturer that has a wide range of Tiger 1 decals...

Gadget, you can also print just about any type of "decal" with good printer and label stock. Many office supply outfits should be able to make what you need also. You can even get "low gloss" material to work with. I used to make my own labels for exterior applications that would last for years in all kinds of weather. That was until I found out that the local printing outfit could make them for less time and money. I remember when "bullet hole" stickers were the rage on trucks, cars, RC airplanes etc. Instant battle damage for you RC AFV.

greetings chickster i have built the tam. pershing the idler upgrade is a must for track adjustment the bearings are optional will help run smoother as for gear boxes not alot of room for bigger gear boxes need to go to www.tomsrctanks.com he has two replacment gears for the cannon elevation and turret rotation motor gear box and lot's of other building parts.the only other things i did was replace the connectors to the dmd and to6 with dean ultra plugs and cut the sound speaker box into half to make room for receiver and battery (optional!)other than that it is a great kit to build and run good luck and good tanking DAN
