Default Need Help Re&Re HL Pershing Metal Sprockets

Hi Guy's

I'm in a pickel here had problem with a bad wobble in lft. rear sprocket.E-mailed Murphy at Mato Toy's and he sent 2 new metal sprockets. for my Pershing.

They didn't even come close to fitting on the shafts.

The inside diam. was just to small.

Also the bushing itself is in crooked I think because the hole shaft wobbles.

Have no idea how to take out the bushing and shaft.
Anyone else had trouble with these metal sprockets retrofitting?

I want to order the metal track kit for my Tiger but am concerned I will run into the same trouble putting on the metal sprockets.

Any input would be apprieciated

Dave

You have to sand down the shafts for the sprockets to fit, or open up the sprockets a little. Your choice, the shaft is easier IMO. As for the bearings in the gear box, you have to remove the gearbox from the tank and then unscrew the halves to get everything apart for re-fitting. It's all screwed together.

The metal sprockets on my Tiger were very tight. I used a G clamp to get them on (no idea how I'd get them off if I need to).

Hey Waz

How would you get a G clamp on the shaft ,did you have to take the hole thing apart?

I'm still new to this I took the lid off to examine the gears inside and it looks a little intimidating right now.

How about trying some wet 320 grit sandpaper on the shafts of my tiger assuming these ones will be tight as well.
