Default Lubrication

What lub is best for the gearboxes of an early Tamiya King Tiger?

Turret gearbox has lots of nylon. Could I use silicon spray?

What about motor cycle chain lub for the drive? It is designed not to harm rubber & nylon and is very thin when applied but thickens after a few seconds.

When you run out of Tamiya grease, I found white Lithium grease works well.

I would avoid automotive lubricants since they are generally designed for high speed uses where the viscosity will change to an optimum performance level at those high speeds.
