electronics breakdown...
Just recieved my new metalcatepillar. Looks great and I think the tank (HL Tiger) moves more realistic because of the wheight... Sadly it did run for aprox. 5 minutes. The lamp on the radio went back and on for a time and now its completely black and I cant start up my tank. I dont think its the new catepillar that "broke" the radio because of the lamp...
Is it possible to use a standard 6 ch radio with the rigth frequency?
I tried, in desperation, my 2 ch radio and ofcourse it havent got any "key-button"!
Do I have to change all electronics to use a std radio?
If so, Tamiya? (I hate this German sites, who refuses to have an English version...)
Any tips

RE: electronics breakdown...
Play around with the batteries.
Sometimes they don't sit in quite right and the controller has no power. You have to push the batteries up so that the +ve end of the battery is right up against the contact.
Also check the solder joints inside the controller

Nice one pilgrimsfalk (and Woz!), that would've been horrible after getting the metal tracks on.
I agree, they make the Tiger movement SO much more realistic.
On the note of the remote, do I remember someone recommending removing those plastic blocks that sit between each battery for better contact?
