I know, it's either been bash Mato or me and Pzrwest talking about Afrikaner Tigers!
At least the conversation you and pzrwest have going is interesting

YHR. I thought about it, and it is doable but I don't wan't to put much time into it because I can't keep an AS gun working more than a day or two.

Most of the airsoft units I build now are pretty reliable. I could show what parts I use and how to set them up. I was trying to think of a way to increase the volume of air in the chamber, maybe adding a tooth or two to the gear that releases the nozzle and piston? And or relocating the bracket so the piston travels further back and consequently use a shorter, more stout spring.

You've always been better at getting them to work than I.

Thats a good idea, I don't use the AS guns at all, I think I will pull one apart and see if it can be made into a recoil. On a side note, yes some of the topics are tedious, sometimes you have to just step back and let the personalities clash until the inevitable lock comes

There are several how tos over at rc-panzerkettan. Most of them use parts of the old airsoft unit. I haven't seen anyone that was able to make one and retain a functioning gun though.

I would be prepared to lose the airsoft feature.
