Here are some more pics of my scratch built armor. The figures are Verlinden some of them stock some modified. The StugIII is the pre-production model kit I bought from Louis Pruneau. I had to re-do the upper structure as it was not right. Be fore building the resin kit I molded the complete running gear and traced out the lower hull pieces so I could build more of them. The kublewagon and the scout car are scaled up from tamiya 1/35 scale kits. The pzrIII was my first 1/16 one but gave it away after realizeing I had put the wrong Interior in it. I had put the interior for a pzrIV at that time I had no pics of the pzrIII interior and assumed they were the same big mistake. The stugIII I did a complete scratch built interior. The second pzrIII I built i did put the correct interior in it. I had internet by then. The dirt on the StugIII is actual dust from justting on a shelf in the basement amazeing what time will do. Anyways here are the pics

Both the StugIII and my last PzrIII had full scratch built interiors. The last PzrIII also had lighting in the turret and the main hull. I buy old lcd watches in yard sales the take them apary for the tiny lights they have in them. With an "N" size battery they will light for a very long time. All the hatches were operational with locking handles on the inside like the originals. I hid the switch for the turret lights in the stowage bin and the switch for the hull under one of the rear deck covers

Here are the pics of the construction of my last PzrIII. You can see the wires leading to where the lights are in the pic of the turret interior. Also note the latch handles on the hatches, they are fully functioning you can latch all the hatches in the closed and locked position. The hatches on the front of the tank above the transmission and escape hatches are funtional and locking as well. In the lower hull in both the driver and the radioman/machinegunner's positions there are light's in the ceiling above and in front of their heads. The diamond pattern floor plate was also hand made by thin sheet aluminum over some metal window screening and rubbing with a popcycle stick sorta like copper tooling

I'm in total awe over your styrene skills (and your scratchbuilds), I just got my latest order of styrene delivered... got plans... still - the way you work I've got some learning to do yet (lol you've got a few years on me

Well I use many construction materials .060, .040, .030 sheet styrene, urethane resin, thin aluminum, brass tubeing. Believe it or not the barrel of my pzrIII's are made from sections of old fiberglass fishing rods. They are nicely tapered just cut where the diameter suits you. Some parts I turn with my redneck lathe(electric drill... lol)

I also agree with the guys, you do have the skills for modeling, and I think I read in one of your first posts that you are glad to have found this tank forum, But I think we might be the ones that are glad you found it
