IMPACT-USA

Gentlemen,
I thought it best to post this announcement myself.
IMPACT-USA is announcing this weekend that we were closing & that ETO / CRCM will be assuming IMPACT's business in North America & Eastern Europe.
Now that Bob & Willy have jumped the gun over on the Armornuts site there is no need to get into details here - you can read our announcement on IMPACT-USA's - but I want all of you to know it simply is due to lack of time with Logan's new job combined with the realities of a low ROI in this niche market. ETO/CRCM will be carrying a select line in the States that doesn't duplicate what they already have.
I had decided to assist IMPACT earlier this year to help get the better focused in regards to marketing their detailed & high quality track & parts. The opportunity to sell their product was nothing more than an afterthought that made sense at the time for my son. We wish Bob & Willy the best as they carry on with IMPACT's excellent product line.
We would like to offer everyone an excellent chance to save BIG $$$ on any product we have left. Our website has been updated, Logan's final shipment arrives next Tuesday & he still has a good selection left once we ship existing orders. Again, all pricing shown on the website is effective only while supplies last so you will want to contact Logan at your earliest chance. If anyone is interested in volume buys for your club, send feel free to PM me or send an email.
This has always been about having fun & now we'd like to take this last chance to offer you guys great savings in these final days of IMPACT-USA. Afterall, we got into the business only to pass along what we felt was better quality product at more sensible pricing to the community.
For all you Pz3 fans here, you'll want to check out our deal on the track & upgrade parts. You'll not see pricing like this ever again!
Again, we appreciate all the support we've had along with your past business. Thanks!
Chuck

Chuck, sorry to see the change. hope the quality does not suffer due to the changeover...I am very impressed with my T-84 track and have just sent in an order for T-84, T-81 and ostketten to see what kind of price break I can get.
Assume you will still be working with HL?
thanks

T-81 as well as the new T-66 & TUV4 should be available through ETO / CRCM. They expect to start getting inventory early Oct, but I have no idea what CRCM will be carrying in the States since heard from Erwin they plan to carry only a limited line.
Feel free to contact me should you have any questions on the closeouts. Logan is traveling back to Jacksonville today & will be addressing emails as they come.
I'm currently sitting at the bar of my neighborhood pub with several more of those calendar girls you guys saw! You gotta love China!

Chuck and Logan,
I am sorry to hear about the need to close your business, but I am also concerned because you have my money and I don't have any parts.

Doug,
If you have not seen your PE which has been sent TWICE from Shangahai via EMS, then I'm out $170.
Logan has 6 sets arriving on his shipment next Tuesday. I will see you get the first one out the door & if we cannot do that, we will be happy to refund your payment + 25% for lack of service.
Please do me a favor & if any of the earlier sets that we sent arrive, please forward them to Logan collect since I never did see a reply to the emails I had sent you regarding your order. Feel free to send me a PM or email should you have any questions.
Thanks again for your business, as well as your patience.

this is sad news. but I have been seeing a huge upswing in the growth of this "niche" in the usa. I was at my local hobby shop, talking to the owner about tanks (...big surprise..) he informed me that through out the past year he has had alot of requests for tanks. dont know if he'd ever stock henlongs cause of quality issues but who knows? I'm willing to bet this hobby gets huge in the states. if so hermill perhaps we wil see a return? wishing you the best of luck, and hopefully a speedy return.

Thanks for your kind words. We do hope the market will continue to grow & IMPACT's sales expand here. IMPACT has a lot of new product in the pipeline & will do well since their sales are Europe are substantially higher than here in North America. By the way, no matter what you read or hear, IMPACT has not given anyone an exclusive for the North American market so anyone who wants to be a wholesale dealer & can handle the volume is free to do so.
Regarding our decision, besides the time factor, it was a no brainer when I can make a better return selling one bathtub in my core business than Logan would see in 3 months of IMPACT sales. Besides, we got into this to assist IMPACT with their new startup & to have a little fun. IMPACT offers an excellent product line that brought another choice to the RC tank market. They have been developing a lot of new items in conjunction with their existing EU dealers & will do well in the coming years.
We wish IMPACT & their dealer network well in continued growth & hope to see more innovative products for the community in the coming year. I look at them the same way as Apple Computer - they may not have been the first to make metal tracks nor the cheapest, but their dedication, innovative ideas & attention to detail alllow more choices & better options for the tanker community as a whole & that is good for everyone!
Regarding market expansion, you are correct there is a lot of interest for a quality low cost RC tank series on the retail end but its the quality that scares then away. Sort of like British sportscars in the 1970s! We had been working with HobbyTown earlier this summer since they are interested in adding the low cost RC tank line, hence the reason for my HL visit, but are concerned on the defect / return rates: they saw a 50% failure rate with a week of receiving our samples which had been fully tested & checked. I certainly did not want to have that responsibility hanging over my head! HL has been considering setting up their own distribution & service center here after watching MATO's success here & in Europe so who knows what the future may hold. Again, gas powered toys are the future for them so it would make a lot of sense to get more involved in the sales & marketing side of the business.
All I know is that now I'll be able to get back to my hobbies: RC ships, subs & tanks after not having touched them since early May as well as posting on the boards again after being away for the past few months.

I made an order, thanks for the heads up, I look forward to your posts since you may have time for the tank hobby now. I can see the reluctance of a hobby shop to take up the HL line, they have way to many failures and issues to warrant the effort.

FYI, Logan will begin shipping orders today from Raleigh since we had a delay in getting his last IMPACT order off of a consolidated container shipment. Its in his possesion now & he'll start shipping in the order received. If anyone here is a Grateful Dead fan, they'll understand the humor behind the Blog post below.

We still have stock available on a lot of the items so if you want a great deal, you won't want to delay. Feel free to check out the updated status on the website or contact Logan directly by calling the number
posted on the site.
Thanks again for your support!

I'm a UPS Driver and when they painted up that package car for NASCAR, our center went out and bought flame magnets. We ended up getting in trouble but it was worth it for the few days we drove in style.
I cant wait for my parts!!!!

Thanks for the kudos, brothers! Logan has been buried these past few days pulling orders & will have the last sent out today. We appreciate all the great support from you guys!
You will still be able to buy IMPACT's line through CRCM / ETO who has assumed the franchise here in the States. Contact Willy for more details on what they intend to carry in the line.
For anyone still sitting on the fence, we've not had one return or complaint on quality with any IMPACT track that we have sold. Its been a very good product & we wish them continued growth in this market. In case you haven't already heard IMPACT will be releasing a new Tiger Late track next month along with more PE & parts items that should be of interest to any Tiger fan. You can keep up with their developments on IMPACT Upgrade's Yahoo page.
Logan still has a good selection of Pz3 Mid track, Upgrade Sets & T84 track on-hand so give him call or send an email if you want to save $$$. We have a few guys interested in doing a volume buy, so you won't want to wait much longer before everything is gone.
The T84 track is made for Tamiya's M26 spec so if you planning to use IMPACT's track on your HL Snow Leopard, you'll need to modify it with Tamiya stock sprockets since HL's sprocket is not to spec. Check out Bill C's recent M26A1 post for more details since he has IMPACT T84 track on this tank. Karen at the AAF Museum Store is your best bet for Tamiya parts.
Please note all sales are final at these prices so get 'em before they're gone. As I said before, you'll never see prices this low again for IMPACT's excellent line of track & parts.
TANKS again for all the kind words of support through the emails & calls we've been getting. You guys are the best!

Doug,
Glad you received your set & liked what finally arrived!
We have a few remaining Panther parts: manlets, sprockets & sprocket guides, along with Pz3 Mid track, Pz3 upgrade parts: sprockets, idler wheels & spring kits, & T84 track. You'll see the same quality throughout at pricing considerably less than what you'd ever see again in the future.
Thanks again for the business & support!
