I know I shouldn't have done it, BUT...I bought a 2nd hand HL 1/24 scale Leo 2...
sorry, I know it was dumb, but I really wanted one, and it was reasonably cheap on the auction site..and, well you know what its like!!
Well, just gave it it's first run...yikes!! flat out or nothing...wow!! Turned like its on steroids, then noticed it didn't want to anymore, well at least in one direction, then it started pulling to one side... had a look and noticed several bits of plastic on the floor .....oh oh!!...what do we have here...aha...missing bits from the rear drive cog!!!. Yep, the cog has lost all the little bits of plastic that the central track splines engage with for propulsion. The Leo is in trouble already!!
Any suggestions (other than burn it!!) for a repair folks? Please??

Not the first time i heard this problem in HL 1/24 tanks!!What you can do is get brass tubing at a hobby shop that is the same diameter as the plastic sections that fell off and also buy a drill bit the same size as the brass tube ...you then need to drill through the sprocket where the marks are left from the plastic sections falling off ..then cut the brass tube to size and push them through the holes you drilled and CA glue them in place.

Unfortunately not!! These things have a "false" sprocket, the "drive" is via the rather puny central splines and the outer teeth are purely cosmetic.....nasty!!
