Default Ghost in My TANK !!!

I just fetched the 2 German tanks down that are Christmas gifts to charge the batteries before they get wrapped up. I charged the tiger up and gave it 2min spin around the room to see if it's all OK then packed it away.
Then i get the Panzer out and do the same. Now after charging i placed the battery in it and gave it a run around the same.

Now .... sat reading this forum and the Panzer started to move by itself !!!!! the handset is turned off, the antenna is removed and the thing is spinning around the house in a controlled manner. It's proper going around objects as i type without any controllers in the house being turned on.

What is going on !!!!!

It only doing it when the tank reaches a certain point in the house then it spins a 180 and starts shooting BB's like the pre-program button is selected. Then it's drives about 10ft towards the middle of the room and turns off and sits idle.

Am i haunted or is this common, oh BTW I've tried it on all 3 frequencies on the tank and all give same result when it drives to the same point in the living room

You guys and those non-smokers!

Did you look out the window? Were there footsteps in the snow?

Thats Awesome, IT could be the ghost is just excited as you are, and wants to get some runnning time in before you wrap it back up! Or it could be the button on the auto prgrammed is jammed, stuck on the on position, or you are receiving some wierd radio interference from the nieghbors that is triggering that signal?

You know' I forgot about that abitlity to program it to make a few moves on its own with the cheap version! I always thought that was pretty cool and you can really freak some people out! One of you geniuses out there are going to have to figure out how to incorporate that into the S & S version!!!

A Challenge from the Blitz!

Hey and Bravo 2 zero as long as the ghost is driving it well and not thrashing it who cares![sm=shades_smile.gif]

it could be that pre-programed button but some of the moves it's making have not been touched if you know what i mean. I'm leaning towards some crazy interference as this tank has not been moded or taken apart other than fixing a new antenna to it. The tank arrived without without and antenna so i bought a replacement one that is a little thicker and longer than the stock one. I can't see that causing the issue ?

It might , try swaping it with your Tiger, and make the manufacturer send you another one anyway! Dont' you hate that when they leave stuff out![sm=punching.gif]

Mind it well be with Christmas and surge of people buying gifts , it could quiet easy be picking up someone else's RC toy ? With me fitting non-stock antenna it could be picking up something a little further afield

One of my old 27mhz electric buggies used to go forwards when someone would use a cheap kid's handheld walkie-talkie in the vicinity (tried it)

had a couple such incidents.....once, one of my tanks suddenly drove itself off the shelf onto my workbench....I was working with another one in the next room and didn't have all switches off. [:@] On the way back from Danville, one of my Tigers started running when we drove thru town....some electronics in a store set it off.[X(] Forgot to turn all switches off on the tank and controller. Better is to remove the battery whe you're through with it.

I know on an old radio shack electric buggy that I was at the town's leisure center and the train went by, bout 1000ft and it started spazing out. wouldnt go anywhere cause it was going forward back left and right too fast to move really.
