hl barrel control

anybody have a way to elevate the barrel up and down by getting rid of the airsoft unit and wiring it into the elevation motor? this way when you push up on the stick the barrel goes up and when you push down the barrel goes down. it seems easy but it looks like the elevation motor and the gun motor share a common ground. any ideas? thought about relays but my head is starting to spin like linda blair.

with my limited electronics knowledge diodes would stop the pos supply from the airsoft going back the wrong way
this is my thoughts pos+ from bb gun -diode - elevation motor/servo up
pos+ from old elevation motor -diode-elevation motor/servo down

What you want is called an "h-bridge". Google will reveal all.
Basically the h-bridge uses four transistors or FETs, powered from the battery directly. Then you'd use the signals from the Heng Long board (which may actually be active *low*) to switch the h-bridge direction. It should be quite easily done.
