Certainly not for the purist, but because of the dearth of little Russian tankers, I was thinking of using this guy (or at least some of him) to man my T34/85. He might be passable, especially for $5.99 -- and who's to say the outfit isn't a 'liberated' one.

Peter at modellino.de has sets of russian tankers and there's another site that also has them. Some one will probably post it. These figures were photographed just after I painted and sealed cracks etc but are now in the correct colors and killed with Dullcoat.

I couldn't find them either. I know there were women Russian tankers, but the only such figures on the site seem to be a shade underclad -- although this may have been a little-known diversionary tactic.

Thanks. I imagine this is the guy you have in mind. Certainly very attractive if you have the required skills and dedication -- unfortunately qualities of which I'm somewhat bereft.

Try Tamiya's 1/16 "Modern" German Tanker...Helmet's already pretty close! All Tanked Up had a gereat idea with his "2-part figure" too.

Trumpeter's releasing MORE nice 1/16 Russians. About time SOMEBODY did...
