Swath no i am not... But i learned of a way to launch rockets or bottle rockets with ease...if there was some type of fire work rocket that would slide down our tank barrels...here is how it would work...

You would use a thin wire ellement RC nitro glow plug wire it up in the barrel some how so when you push a button electric goes into the glow plug and mekes the ellement glow red...now if you had a lets say bottle rocket stuffed down a tube so that the fuse is tutching the glow plug...when you turn on the glow plug wammo the fuse gets lit and rocket flys like a bat out of hell!!!

By a similar fashion, one could take that same nitro glow plug and use it to ignite a very small black powder propellant charge packed in a metal barrel with a small amount of tissue wadding. As long as you used just a few grains of powder the result would be mainly flash and quite a bit of smoke.
If I could devise a way of making it fire more than once, in a repetitive fashion, I would make it happen.

I have my Stuka zu Fuss halftrack set up to launch Estes A10 rockets in the rear 2 racks which are fitted with brass tubes. They have to have a small nose cone on them to fly straight. They are pain to reload and string the firing wire, but they do make a very impressive display outside. The same could be done with a Sturmtiger, but the laucher tube would have to have a brass tube going out the bottom of the vehicle.

Used to make my own small rocket engines (google for 5 cent sugar rocket) many years ago, they were probably about 3/8" diameter, but you could probably make them anysize. Be a neat way of making small rocket rounds with very limited power, etc.

would like to get the RX for small rocket engines. The A10s are still a bit too powerfull...all I want is a smokey blast and the rocket to get out a few feet and get lost harmlessly..I got some mini rockets from Quest (300 milisec)...but they are super hard to hookup and try to fire, so next to worthless.

Have you guys tried ni-crome wire its whats used in the smoke unit you can get it from most model shops its used for cutting foam for wings put a current to it and it gets hot so could use it for lighting fuse .

I used to launch "match" rockets as well.
Take a match (I used paper matches, but wood ones *should* work), and about a 1.5" x 1" piece of aluminum foil. Place the match-head in about the middle of the foil, with a little bit more foil towards the stick, and wrap the foil around the match tightly, then fold the "tail" around. Basically you want the matchhead wrapped in foil without leaks. Then pierce the foil on the very end with a pin or needle, and slightly wiggle it around to make the hole a little larger, this makes the exhaust vent. Place the "rocket" on a piece of wood or something to guide it, with the head hanging off the edge, then light it with a candle or another match. (very small) Whoosh. Lol.

Might be a little too small and imprecise and dunno if they launch very well at an angle (too much foil makes the too heavy too), but pretty simple to make and try. Could make a nice calliope of rockets too, just need a decent ignition system.

One neat thing about the 5 cent sugar rockets was that the were ignited by filling the hollow core with loose black powder, then capping the end with a dab of power and water. So, you could probably stick them down a barrel with a very hot glow plug or small butane lighter as the ignition source...no wires or electronic igniters. The only issue would be the rocket motors fouling the ignition system.

Also, a very potent and somewhat dangerous variant: 60/40 to 75/25 mix of Flowers of Sulphur and fine groung powdered Alluminum (filings). Be REAL careful and only use very small volumes, this stuff makes bombs.

Also be advised, that here in the USA, when you use an ignited propellant to drive a projectile of any kind (including rocket housings or shells), out of a tube or barrel, You have 'manufactured a firearm' and must have a license or waiver from the BATFE. Just be sure you don't get too much exposure, or piss off your local constabulary.
