Default CustomRCModels?

Does anyone know what's the usual turn-around time when ordering in CustomRCmodels? I ordered the IMPACT Panther G PE set, and other stuff from this website a couple of days ago, and I have yet to get a shipping invoice (to pay for the shipping), so I know that my order hasn't shipped yet.

My Panther G is arriving tonight, and I was hoping to get my PE set soon, so I could finally decide what else I would need, because I'm about to order some more stuff soon. (This time, I'm ordering from from ETOArmour because they're nice enough to answer my n00b questions.)

Willy at Custom RC Models tends to travel for his "day job". From my experience Willy is good at responding - when he is available. After givings someone two days to respond, it wouldn't be a bad idea to send another e-mail. Had good luck with both Willy and Bob at ETO.

Lou ,
your order was placed yesterday morning , not a couple of days ago ..
My turn-around-time for orders is usually only a few days ,
But it all depends if I am traveling or if I am working from home .
I send shipment-invoices when the order is actually in the mail .
If I am traveling , then I am doing the orders on the weekends .
I try to process orders as quick as possible , but I am doing this on the side ,
there is not enough turn-around in this type of hobby-parts that would support somebody doing this as full time ,
therefore I am having a day-time-job which unfortunately has to take priority .
especially since it’s not just a 9 till 5 ordinary job ,
I work as a service-engineer , and if I get call’s about a machine-brake-down ,
I have to drop everything and get these several million dollar pieces of equipment back on line .
The advantage you have as a customer is , that I take this hobby-dealing serious , you are not just a credit-card-number ,
I do answer requests and try to help with tips and hints what to get and what not and how to do things .
Sometimes it may takes a few days before you get an answer …
I get swamped with emails on a daily base , work-wise as well hobby related .
CustomRCmodels is my hobby and I love doing it !

nem, couldn't agree with you more. Willy is 100% straight up honest as they come. He does travel at times, but takes his lap top with him and answers all emails in a timely manner.

LOL Willy, I apologize. Was it only yesterday? Sorry, I guess I wasn't looking at the time since I've spent all that time looking up Panther tank info...

I didn't mean to imply anything by posting this thread. I knew from reading this forum, and by general, looking in the internet for information about detail customization of 1/16 RC tanks, that you and other sellers are very trustworthy. I wasn't worried a bit about bad customer service.

I guess I just assumed that the shipping invoice would follow suit right away, like an automated service. That's why when I didn't get it, I started to worry that something happened to my order.

Lou ,
No apologize necessary .
There is 2 reasons why I have not installed an automatic-shipping-cost-calculator
First it’s time-consuming to get it setup right at once , since I also do international shipping ,
and I only want to charge actual shipping costs instead overpriced shipping-charges as it happens in some online-stores ,
plus a lot of guys want some other stuff I don’t have listed ,
and I like to have that little personal contact with my customers ,
even if it’s just an email with a few lines about the shipping-charges …
bottom line it's a hobby and we all want to have fun with it !

I can only add :
The service & response experience with international order inquiries is also Straight Up from Willy
another reason I purchased from CustomRCmodels is knowing this is his hobby & obversely a passion

you only need to browse the site - I'd willing support the dude again

Cheers All
