Default Backyard Armor

I have tried to contact this company numerous times.... in March they were happy to accept payment and I received a confirmation through PayPal... but that is all... still waiting to hear ANYTHING.

Has anyone else had problems lately? My last dealings with them were great.

Hey, Kabul Tanker

He's a pain in the A** to get an E-mail from. I'm still waiting for missing parts and backordered parts from November of 07. He E-mailed me back at the beginning of the year and said he would ship them ASAP but didn't.

I would not recommend him to anyone.

Man, this is like the 7rd or 8th thread JUST about BYA. We should make them a sticky instead of seeing these almost every month.

Kabul, you're too impatient my man! Everyone knows it'll be at least 6 months before the parts show up at your door out of the blue. You'll have long forgotten about them and one day you'll see a little package arrive and be pleasantly surprised when you open it up and see your long given up for dead parts. Ingenious marketing plan eh?

It is too bad about BYA. Seems to have really gone down hill.

Panther F.

That might be a good idea. Start up a " Vendors to be cautious of" thread. As Swath says though, don't give up hope. Where else can you surprise yourself with a gift!!!!!

I don't think anyone here didn't receive their order, it just takes a long time. First, they have to mine the ore...

am always amazed to see tankers still buying from bya since everyone knew its 'outstanding' service.

Go for it, if you liked to be surprised, with your order popping at your doors months/years later.

I don't think everyone knows, unless they visit here every day and unless they do a search would they know.

I last ordered from them at the end of 2006 (things were great) and if it hadn't been from all the posting here about them and on armornuts I would probably still order from them.

Yes it's quite sad that their service is going down the drain. I've not had any problem with all my order, but now seeing so many posts about missing parts etc, I decided not to order anymore stuff from them. I agree with hdbeast to make this thread into a sticky so that newcomers know about it before they decide to order from them.

I've ordered from BYA several times in the past, and I don't think I've ever had a reply to any of my emails. But I did get all of my stuff, although I had to wait a while for each of them.[&o]

I also recommend Bob at ETO. He answers emails promptly (the longest I had to wait for an email is three days. Usually, he responds right away), if there's a delay on your order, he won't BS you about it, and all and all, he's a very helpful guy.

hdbeast, I freaking hope you get your money back! You've been waiting since November 2007?????[X(]

I got my parts from Backyard amor on Saturday , after a three month wait, I had thought that I had initially wasted my money buying stuff from them and then completely forgotten about the order until it arrived. so don't give up you may get the parts someday

But I will not be buying any thing from them again because of the delay on placing the order and getting it. I also read a thread about them minutes after placing the order and thought there goes my $80 down the drain

I'm still waiting....2 years now ! The Better Business Bur. should be informed. Not to mention PAY PAL. If just everyone would e-mail PAY PAL as to inform them not to accept this form of payment with his business. Then just maybe not so many of us would get scammed by this guy?

I doubt they would even bother with paypal if they were blacklisted.
